Produced for a Valentine’s Day broadcast on Cashmere Radio, Cardioid Conversation involved walking a heart shape transposed onto Elysian Park, regardless of the terrain. The field recording was then edited using the same shape across its audio channels and levels.

Bernhard Schreiner composed a synthesized piece slowed to the duration of the walk. The two recordings were then overlapped to form the final work.
